The Seawork2004 Spirit of Innovation Trophy was awarded by Nick Horton of sponsors Bond Pearce to Peter Wynn of Robert Wynn & Sons for the 80m Damen-built multi-purpose pontoon Terra Marique. This unique vessel is designed to maximise the utilisation of inland and coastal routes for the carriage of the largest and heaviest abnormal loads which would otherwise travel overland. The Terra Marique was by far the biggest vessel on show at Seawork, dominating the quayside directly adjacent to the exhibition halls.

Halyard (M&I), Mowlem Marine and Polar Bears Diving Equipment received Commendations for their entries.
