Our Numbers Up

Industry confidence is strong and the commercial marine sector is expressing that confidence in vastly increased backing for the unique exhibition and conference that supports it.

• Exhibitor figures are up 33% to over 320.
• The extended pontoon feature will host over 40 vessels from 6mRIBs to a 27m Research Vessel from Macduff Shipdesign and a 50m Survey Vessel from Andrews Survey.

•Over 65 companies will appear in the Small Business Enterprise Zone.

• Overseas exhibitors and products have reached a new high. New for 2003 – Neptun Workboats from Norway, Pörtner Sitze from Germany, Anytec Marine  and Poly Produkter from Sweden and Armon  Shipyards from Spain. These companies join  existing overseas exhibitors Damen Shipyards, IHC  Delta Shipyards, Stemat and Depret.

• The Gala Dinner will host 500 guests.

• In excess of 4,500 visitors and conference delegates are expected, with increased numbers from overseas.

• All of the major marine trade organisations and professional associations support seawork and have a presence at the exhibition and conference. Many hold annual meetings and seminars at the event.

• Over 40 exhibitors represent the marine construction, dredging and  hydrography sectors which are central to the survival and development of the commercial marine market.

• In the accessory and ancillary fields, marine electronic instrumentation, marine equipment and navaids account for nearly 30% of companies exhibiting at seawork2003.
