South Boats Sign Swedish Contract

South Boats Special Projects Limited announce the signing of a contract to build a first of class, revolutionary 14.1m offshore ship supply vessel for MBL Supply AB of Gothenburg, Sweden.

The South Catamaran 44/14m Alloy Ship Supply Vessel is a new design for the company, building on the success of recent 14m vessels for the offshore wind farm industry. AB Volvo Penta of Sweden are the technical partners for MBL Supply AB, who are supplying the machinery for the vessel.
The catamaran will be unveiled to the press and other operators at Seawork 2007. Says South Boats Sales Director, Ben Colman “The whole South Boats team has put a great deal of effort into securing this contract, which has been negotiated over a nine month period. The contract marks a milestone in the company’s history and one of which South Boats is very proud”.
