Jayan has spent 43 years in the Maritime Sector as a Consultant, Trainer, Lecturer, Ship Inspector, Marine Chief Engineer, and Technical Speaker. He has spent the last 4 years with the Maritime & Coastguard Agency as Expert in Marine Engineering, Fire Protection, Fire Fighting Systems and the Marine Equipment Directive.
Jayan is currently in the Fishing Vessel and Codes Branch of the MCA. He has represented the UK at IMO and the European Union.
