David works exclusively with vessels coded under MCA codes, main areas of work include interpretation of existing Blue/Yellow/Brown/Red Codes and the Alternative Construction Standard of MGN 280; the implementation of the Harmonised Code, Small Commercial Vessel & Pilot Boat Code and issues associated the Large Yacht Code. David is also engaged in a revision of the Code for Vessel Engaged in Oil Recovery, and Chairs the Fishing Safety - Stability Working Group, MCA / National Workboat Association Code User Working Group; and the Committee for the Memorandum of Understanding on Traditional Ships.
