Spencer directly employs over 500 personnel and has developed in-house capabilities to deliver Marine, Port and Harbour works from feasibility through to completion.

The Company utilises its own design, building, civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineering capabilities in order to retain greater control over safety, quality, time and cost.

Successfully completed projects around the UK include - a 36,000m2 distribution facility with dedicated RORO - the first fully enclosed Multi-modal Steel Terminal in the UK for off-loading of finished steel products from sea to rail - bulk handling plants for the discharge of coal - Link-spans and other marine structures including fixed-span and moving bridges, quay works and marine piling operations utilising the Company's own self-propelled piling barge, the "Meuuw".
