Avon pioneered the development of higher quality inflatable craft for military and commercial applications. The range now includes purpose-built workboats, medium multi-role craft, heavy duty workboats, assault craft and rapid deployment boats for emergency rescue operations. The Searider range of rigid-hull inflatables includes boats from 4m to 8.4m in size, the most models can be fitted with inboard diesel engines. Seariders are in service with the Royal Navy, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coastguard, Japanese Coastguard and the Marine Police Hong Kong. Avon Inflatables are built to be virtually indestructible, as many of the worlds leading rescue services, operating some of the most treacherous coastlines often in appalling conditions, will attest. At Seawork 2008 Avon are displaying two recent additions to the range of Searider craft, a 5.4 inboard diesel and a 5.4 meter outboard variant. Recent introductions include a 6m inboard ribs and the Emergency Response Boat 400 inflatable. |
