Todays Becker Marine System rudders range is the result of more than four decades of providing manoeuvring solutions for ships all over the world. Due to our extensive range of rudder profiles and configurations, we design each rudder to the requirements of individual shipyards and ship owners. In 1971 Becker added further experience and engineering achievements with the acquisition of the Kort Engineering office, inventors of Kort Nozzle. With Becker skills, this addition provided the shipping world with highly efficient steering solutions. Our rudders and Kort nozzles are used for all types of vessel demanding requirements, from exceptional manoeuvring at low speeds to cavitation-free rudder profiles at high speeds. Rudder size is unlimited and severe ice classes, dynamic positioning and high bollard pull with our Kort nozzles are other achievable requirements. |
